KORBEN DALLAS

Korben Dallas was formed in 2010 in Bratislava. The band has released 10 successful albums that transcend the boundaries of the indie scene.

Their debut album *Pekné cesty* (2011), which was recorded live at a concert, was nominated for a Radio_Head Award in the Album of the Year – Critics’ Choice category.

The band left an even more significant mark with their second album, Karnevalová vrana, released in 2013 by Slnko Records. Karnevalová vrana reached number one on the Slovak iTunes and Spotify album charts. At the 2013 Radio_Head Awards, Korben Dallas won awards for Best Album, Best Single (“Otec”), and Best Live Band.

Thanks to their new work, the band gained popularity not only in Slovakia but also in the Czech Republic, and with their subsequent albums Banská Bystrica (2014), Kam ideme (2015), and Stredovek (2017), they cemented their place among the most respected Slovak bands of today.

In 2018, Juraj Benetin was approached by the world-renowned American singer, human rights activist, and friend of Czech President Václav Havel, Joan Baez, to sing the Slovak national anthem with her after she saw videos of anti-government protests across Slovakia.

In 2019, Korben Dallas released the album Bazén, produced by sought-after British producer Eddie Stevens. Their collaboration with Aneta Langerová resulted in the joint EP Konečne (Finally, 2020) and the vinyl album Nekonečne (Endlessly, 2023). The album Deti rýb (Children of the Fish, 2021) was followed in 2024 by the album Pohyb! (Movement!).

The latest addition to the band’s extensive discography is the highly successful album Čomu uveríš (2026), on which the band collaborated for the third time with music producer Tomáš Sloboda, who became the band’s fourth member after the album was recorded.

Korben Dallas enjoys collaborating with other musicians and bands. In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, they went on several joint tours with the band Zrní, and recorded the duet Spolu with Jana Kirschner. At the Viva Musica! festival and later at the Pohoda festival, they performed accompanied by a symphony orchestra. In 2025, they successfully completed a sold-out tour with the band Billy Barman titled Netradičná rodina (Unconventional Family).

The band has performed at many leading Slovak and Czech festivals, such as Pohoda, Colours of Ostrava, Rock for People, and Grape. They regularly perform on the main stages at these festivals.

Korben Dallas also gained significant popularity thanks to the successful Slovak crime series Za sklom (Behind the Glass), for which they composed and recorded the music, including the title track of the same name.
