ČECHOMOR

A Czech-Moravian band that reinterprets folk songs in an original way. They have been performing for over thirty years. During that time, Čechomor has undergone many changes, both in terms of its lineup and musical style. However, its signature traits have always remained: imaginative arrangements, distinctive interpretations, and inspiration drawn from folk songs.

The band has successfully toured Europe, North America, Russia, China, Mongolia, and Australia; recorded over twenty albums for leading Czech and international labels; and collaborated with a number of prominent artists—including American singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega, Irish singer Iarl Ó’Lionáird, Japanese drummer and shakuhachi player Joji Hirota, bassists Tony Levin, Jaz Coleman, Vlad Kumpan, and Ivan Tásler, singers Lenka Dusilová and Ewa Farna, and many others.
