PETR KALANDRA MEMORY BAND

The news of Petr Kalandra’s untimely death in 1995 shocked the music community.
A figure who, during the communist era, brought American folk rock, blues, and a great sense of joy to Czech listeners had passed away. To this day, all of Petr’s admirers remember his songs thanks to official recordings (Marsyas, ASPM, Blues Session I, II…) as well as numerous amateur concert recordings.

The Petr Kalandra Memory Band was formed in 2005 as a tribute to Petr Kalandra.
Their concerts are packed with hits as well as lesser-known songs from the repertoires of Petr Kalandra, Marsyas, and ASPM.
 
An evening with the Petr Kalandra Memory Band will transport you back a few years, to a time when everyone wanted to pull on the forbidden rope, but in a different direction than what was intended for them. An evening full of good vibes and great songs that will remind you that the blues has 12 bars, which everyone could count, and that all the little princesses who are disappointed already know today what a pillar of salt tastes like.
