AQUA CONGAS

Aqua Congas is a seven-piece band made up of professional musicians that blends funk, jazz, and pop into a powerful live performance. The band’s music is built on a distinctive groove, strong vocals, and an energetic live show.

The band’s formation was inspired by a deeply personal moment. Drummer and frontman Filip Zangi gave his father, percussionist Imran Musa Zangi, the opportunity to record his own album as a birthday gift. This symbolic gift evolved into a full-fledged musical project and a dream come true—bringing two generations together on one stage.

Imran Musa Zangi is one of the most respected figures on the Czech music scene. He has collaborated with artists such as Karel Gott, Petr Hapka, and Michal Prokop, and has performed with bands like Yo Yo Band and Monkey Business. In addition to music, he also works as an ophthalmologist.
